Just seen this great event on your web page today (Nov 18)! I was Visiting Assistant and Visiting Associate Professor
in the Department for various periods between 1976 and 1981. I very much enjoyed working in the department and meeting
the staff and students. Your hospitality was fantastic! Computing at Leeds (my home University) had its 50th
anniverary in 2007 and I attended. Had a great chat with Robert Dewar over lunch about the great times in computing

I am still higher than a kite from the wonderful experience of seeing all of my friends from years back. Since 1976 I
have been working in the Computer Science Dept. and I consider this my second family. Being able to be here 35 of the

Even though I was a Math major at IIT, I took many CS classes and I recall the faculty that influenced me: Profs. Thom
Grace, Jim Keneven and Phil Hatcher. And as a part time faculty in the early 90s, Prof. Jim Roberge as a great mentor.
