CS 522: Advanced Data Mining

Objectives

• The course will introduce students to core research topics in Data Mining.
• It is assumed students know the key algorithms relevant to statistics, machine learning and data mining and that they are now ready to focus on recent advances in the field.

Prerequisites

• CS 422.

Syllabus

Recent research papers will be assigned to students from major Data Mining conferences and journals; students will present those papers. A detailed research project will also be assigned.
