CS 552: Distributed Systems
Objectives
- The course is focused on a collection of research topics that are being actively pursued. It is a follow-on course to CS550 “Advanced Operating Systems”. There are no required textbooks. Instead, research publications will be used as reference materials. Each lecture will have 1-2 assigned papers to read. Students should read the papers before coming to class, and be prepared to discuss them. Some lectures will also have recommended papers; students are encouraged to read those, but not required.
