Change pre-req of CS116/CS201 to CO-REQUISITE of CS116 or CS201. CS115 is enough programming background for CS350. This will also urge students to take CS330 and CS331 together which will benefit both classes.


Fall 2006
- Lengthen CS331, CS350, CS351 weekly lecture from two 50 minute lectures to two 75 minute lectures. Shorten labs from one 100 minute lab to one 50 minute lab. (DONE)

New Course Overview

PROPOSED UPDATE (Michael Lee Fall 03) - Introduction to the internal architecture of computer systems. Focuses on the relationship between a computer's hardware, its native instruction set, and the implementation of high-level languages on that machine. Lab exercises focused on assembly language programming and simple processor design explore and analyze computer architecture. Prerequisite: CS 106 or CS 200. (2-2-3) (C)

Remove "We will explore the relationship between hardware and software by programming an ARM-based device, the Nintendo Gameboy Advance in C."
