Leo was one of the founding members of the original charter for the Kansas City, Northern Knights Model Airplane Club. Leo has over the years done more than anyone else to promote Radio Control flying in the Northland area. Leo & Roy Orth were instrumental in obtaining the current flying site we use today! Because of health problems Leo hasn't been around the flying field the past few years very much, however, previous to that he was always there to lend a helping hand to the beginners and experienced alike. Leo taught many people to fly and often gave planes away to guys who crashed and couldn't afford to get right back into another plane. We have lost a true benefactor to our hobby and he will be greatly missed!
