Stage 7 : Install and Test Database

1)        Code DMCL, schema and subschema
2)        Modify representative programs for DBMS test
3)        Code conversion programs
4)        Generate the database
5)        Test and debug
6)        Review and approve test results
Stage 8 : Develop Detailed Conversion Plan

1)        Make individual programming assignments for each program to be modified and each file to be loaded
2)        Schedule computer availability
3)        Prepare formal written conversion schedule and obtain commitments and from all parties involved
4)        Approve conversion involved

Stage 9 : Convert Existing Applications

1)        Bring up one application at a time
2)        Update and regenerate database as required
3)        Approve revised applications as they are converted
4)        Begin using database for new applications and programs

Stage 10 : Fine-Tune Database

1)        Monitor DBMS access statistics and visible performance, and modify database as required
2)        Regenerate database when necessary

Stage 11 : Periodically Review Database Performance

1)        Restate organizational goals and information requirements
2)        Evaluate success of database project
3)        Begin new database projects when required
