Keynote Speakers
Dr. Victor R. Basili
is Professor of Computer Science at the University of
Maryland, College Park and the Executive Director of the Fraunhofer
Center -
Maryland. He was a founder of the Software Engineering Laboratory at
NASA/GSFC.
He works on measuring, evaluating, and improving the software process
and products. Awards include the 2000 ACM SIGSOFT Outstanding
Research Award and the IEEE 2003 Harlan Mills Award Computer
Society. He is an IEEE and ACM Fellow.
In April he received a Laurea Honoris Causa from the University of
Sannio in

As Corporate Director of IBM Software Test and Development Excellence, Bill Woodworth has a three fold responsibility: 1) increase the IBM-wide focus on testing of all software products and solutions, 2) based upon the success achieved in #1 for testers, do the same for all IBM software developers, and 3) drive the continuing focus on improving the reliability/ availability of our integrated customer solutions. In this role, Bill is leading both the company wide ‘Testers Community’ and ‘Developers Community’ to facilitate and move the units across IBM into a "best of breed" standard of testing and developing. With 20 years of product development and test management experience, he has achieved proven and consistent successes through leading results-oriented and quality-focused processes in the software development business.
