We conduct research in high performance computing and communication, especially in the design and prototype development of scalable software systems, where scalable software means software which can cooperate hundreds or more processes working collectively. |

Our current research projects include
These projects are supported in part by National Science Foundation (NSF), Department of Energy (DoE), and other federal agencies and by industrial sponsors, and are conducted in collaboration with researchers inside and outside of IIT. In particular, some of the projects are joint projects with Argonne and Fermi national laboratories. |
