This assignments requires you to do a little bit of
library search; it can be our main library or it can be the
virtual library on the Web.

	You are required to prepare a report about the significant
steps in the microprocessors history. You will have to find out
when the first microprocessor appeared and what happened next.

	For each microprocessor you include in your report you
should specify at least the following
	- manufacturer
	- year introduced
	- datapath size
	- address size
	- number of registers
	- number of instructions (the official number)

	At your will you can also include some other information
you find to be relevant for that product.

	I suggest you look to the following manufacturers:
	- Intel
	- Motorola
	- Zilog
	- AMD (Advanced Micro Devices)
	- National Semiconductor
	- IBM
	- others (look for the good guys that give us the MIPS, the
	  the SPARC, and others)

	Your report will be typed or computer printed, single spaced,
using Times Roman 12 fonts.

	The report is due October 9, 1995
