This page contains information about the PADE setup for users of the deltas cluster. PADE provides a graphical interface that incorporates all essential tools for development of parallel applications. PADE was developed at NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) where you cand find the PADE home page.
In its present configuration, PADE targets the development of PVM applications.
Here is what you need to do to start using PADE on the deltas (for csh users).
setenv PADE_ROOT /a/apps/nist_pade
pade
The online PADE documentation describes how to build a PVM application by moving the appropriate files to hosts. On the deltas the user file system is NFS mounted, which means that the user files are visible on any host in the network: transferring files is therefore not needed, unless they are moved to directories which belong to local file systems (like /tmp which is not NFS mounted).
